Daniel Visits Madison County YR ReceptionI, along with Don Johnson, candidate for TYRF secretary, attended a Madison County YR reception featuring State Representative Chris Crider. The reception was held at the home Kevin and Cassie Scott, both officers of the Madison County YR club. The reception was well-attended, and I got to meet almost everyone there. The Madison County club has some very enthusiastic members, and we should see some great things come from them soon.

Chris CriderThe Madison County Young Republicans will host a reception for State Representative Chris Crider (Milan) on Thursday, July 21st at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Kevin and Cassie Scott at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ed Wallis at edwallis@gmail.com TYRF Convention Date Set for September 9-10The 2005 Tennessee Young Republican Federation, Inc. convention will be held on September 9-10 in Knoxville at the Downtown Hilton. Rooms are $89 per person per night, and individual registration costs are $75. There will be a hospitality suite party on Friday night for all incoming guests and delegates! The actual convention sessions plus speakers will take place on Saturday morning. The new officer installation banquet will be held Saturday night, and will feature a keynote speaker. The TYRF web site will be updated to include the names of keynote speakers plus the convention schedule itself. The Knox County Young Republicans are the host club for this convention, with help from the Blount County YRs also. We appreciate all of their hard work in pulling this convention together! Tennessee YRs Attend YRNF Convention in Las VegasTennessee Young Republicans were well represented at the 2005 YRNF Convention in Las Vegas on July 6-10. The Tennesee contingent consisted of the following people: Robyn Crawford, Drew Daniel, Carla Green, Darrin Kirkus, Steve and Melissa Outlaw, Mary Chris Waller, and Susan Wilcott. At the convention, the Tennessee delegates helped elect Nicolee Ambrose of Maryland as the new YRNF chairman. In addition to electing Ambrose, the Tennessee delegates helped elect the following officers: -Tim Kolpien, New York, vice-chairman All Tennessee Young Republicans enjoyed the convention in Las Vegas and had plenty of fun along the way.
