Drew Daniel, candidate for TYRF chairman, and Robyn Crawford, candidate for TYRF West Tennessee regional director, attended the 2005 Young Republican National Federation convention in Las Vegas July 6-10. They were two of six Tennessee delegates to attend the convention, which showcased over 40 state YR delegations and Puerto Rico. At the convention, the Tennessee delegates helped elect Nicolee Ambrose of Maryland as the new YRNF chairman.
In addition to electing Ambrose, the Tennessee delegates helped elect the following officers:
-Tim Kolpien, New York, vice-chairman
-Zac Scrivener, California, vice-chairman at-large
-Glenn Murphy, Indiana, secretary
-Heather Harlow, Ohio, treasurer
-Patrick Peters, Washington, auditor
-Jessica Colon, Texas, assistant secretary
-Brian Graham, Florida, assistant treasurer
-Adrienne Mitford, Pennsylvania, Northeast regional chairman
-Tamara Baker, Kansas, Midwest regional chairman
-Clay Barclay, Alabama, South regional chairman
-Jonathan Burley, Oregon, West regional chairman
Daniel and Crawford were very excited about the opportunity to attend the YRNF convention and found the sessions helpful. "The Leadership Institute campaign workshop was extremely helpful. I learned so many points that will help me out with campaigns," said Crawford. "I look forward to becoming more involved with Young Republicans at the national level. I think there is so much Tennessee Young Republicans have to offer to the YRNF, and I plan to increase our level of involvement over the next two years," said Daniel.
As you may figure, what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas!
