Tennessee YRs Trek to Little Rock for YRNF Board Meeting

November 15, 2005 Filed under: Chairmans Blog — Drew Daniel @ 12:11 am

Several Tennessee Young Republicans drove to Little Rock on Friday afternoon to attend the final YRNF board meeting of 2005. Drew Daniel, Don Johnson, and Darrin Kirkus made the trip. There were many exciting opportunities and events for the Little Rock board meeting. YRs were offered the opportunity to tour the Clinton Presidential Library (it actually did have some exciting points), a street by street historic tour of Little Rock (including Little Rock Central High School), and a reception with Asa Hutchinson on Friday night. We did get to go downtown later Friday night and hang out at the Flying Saucer in Little Rock.

YRNF Board Meeting update – Friday night

November 12, 2005 Filed under: YRNF — Drew Daniel @ 12:41 am

TYRF Chairman Drew Daniel, Secretary Don Johnson, and Nat’l Committeeman Darrin Kirkus are representing Tennessee at the Young Republican National Federation fall board meeting in Little Rock. Little Rock is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city in the middle of God’s blank canvas of open spaces. Shortly after arriving, Drew and Don participated in a meeting of the YRNF Campaign Committee led by YRNF Vice-Chair Tim Kolpien. Later in the day, we attended a reception with Gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson held at the Albert Pike hotel.

We are submitting a bid to host the Spring ‘07 YRNF Board meeting in Memphis and a decision should be made on that by the YRNF on Saturday afternoon.
