HPIM1146Many Tennessee Young Republicans across the state (from Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Kingsport) volunteered in numerous capacities for the 2006 Tennessee Republican Party Statesmen’s Dinner at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville! The featured speakers were former U.S. Senator Fred Thompson and current U.S. Senators Lamar Alexander and Bill Frist. All major U.S. Senate candidates (Ed Bryant, Bob Corker, and Van Hilleary) were present along with gubernatorial candidate Jim Bryson, the man who will unseat Democrat Governor Phil Bredesen in November! YRs attended Bryson’s reception following the Statesmen’s Dinner.

After the Statesmen’s Dinner, many YRs headed to Dave and Buster’s for a fun social event. Special thank you to Middle TN HPIM1158Director (and Cheatham County YR chair) Perry Keenan for laying out a great event at Dave and Buster’s. With state primary and county general elections coming up in August, the Statesmen’s Dinner, followed by Dave and Buster’s , allowed YRs to take a quick break from the campaign trail!
