Some YRs were able to attend the debate at Vanderbilt University, while most YRs watched the debate at a rally outside. On Sunday YRs campaigned with Bob Corker as he walked from tailgate party to tailgate party at the Tennessee Titans/Houston Texans game. Corker received enthusiastic support wherever he went, and having many YRs around him tremendously helped! Thanks to all Young Republicans who took a weekend of their valuable to help influence Tennessee elections!

Washington, D.C.- Several Tennessee Young Republicans attend the biennial Young Republican Leadership Conference (YRLC) in Washington, D.C. on April 19-23. Chairman Drew Daniel, West Tennessee Director Robyn Crawford, and National Committeewoman Stephanie Hundley represented Tennessee at YRLC. All of us had the opportunity to sit on the floor of the House of Representatives, tour the historic Maryland State House, attend a White House Political Affairs briefing, a YR alumni reception (with former Tennessee Senator Bill Brock) and attend a reception at the German Embassy on Friday night.

Drew Daniel and Robyn Crawford toured the National Rifle Association museum on Friday, including the range and the museum. The Tennessee YR fun was capped off by the Saturday evening Freedom Gala, where conservative tax reform advocate Grover Norquist and NRA Director Wayne LaPierre spoke.

All Tennessee YRs had a wonderful time at YRLC and met many great Young Republicans from all across the United States!

Little Rock is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city in the middle of God’s blank canvas of open spaces. Shortly after arriving, Drew and Don participated in a meeting of the YRNF Campaign Committee led by YRNF Vice-Chair Tim Kolpien. Later in the day, we attended a reception with Gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson held at the Albert Pike hotel.

We are submitting a bid to host the Spring ‘07 YRNF Board meeting in Memphis and a decision should be made on that by the YRNF on Saturday afternoon.
